
Russian-born artist, pioneer of video art. In 1989 she graduated from the
leningrad architectural and industrial college, department of architecture, after
which she studied at the faculty of architecture state university of architecture and
civil engineering.
In 1991 she founded the laboratory for the study of ornament at the leningrad monastery «a-z». In 1992 year she entered the Berlin Institute of art+com to the computer department graphics and animation in 1994 Olga joined the circle of artists of the new the academy founded by Timur Novikov.
Since 1995, Olga has become an active participant in both domestic and foreign international exhibition projects. the artist ‘s creativity has repeatedly it was noted with awards in 1995, she received the first videovision prize at the third reality festival in St. Petersburg, in 1998 - the second prize «the best european computer graphics» at the Hamburg Griffelkunst festival and in 2016, she was elected an honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 2019, she took part in the Venice Biennale, pavilion of northern Macedonia. In her works Olga synthesizes images of classical art with elements of pop culture. using advanced technology, the artist it takes the samples of antiquity into a completely new context. works in meetings Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery, Ludwig Museum, Moscow Museum Contemporary Art, New York MOMA and galleries of Milan, Brussels.
