With a professional background in international economics and finance, Zakhar managed to become the youngest top manager at a major insurance company, the financial director of a railroad freight transportation company, and later founded his own insurance brokerage company, which now employs over 600 people. Later Borisenko went on to teach an eMBA at MSU. In 2010 Borisenko founded Epic Contemporary Art Jewelry. He is also a founder and driving force behind B2B Jewellery company which creates single pieces and collections for major luxury brands including jewellery brands. Borisenko is a private consultant to companies and private individuals in investing in rare gemstones.
