Chang Puek Art object

This white gold art object “Chang Puek” referred to 12 years of Alexander's life in Bangkok. This is a very special ‘Chang’ which means Elephant in Thai and it’s a holy animal. In Burmese culture, which shares similarities with Thai Buddhism, spotting a white elephant is seen as encountering the Buddha himself. It is believed that white elephants bring good fortune to their owners and are held in high regard as symbols of royalty in Thai history.
