Description
Fer Forge’ takes its inspiration from the curly decorated motives of the delicate French ironwork of the 17th Century. A delicate frame of micro set diamonds is a reminiscence of the Gates of Versailles with their twisted motives in oxidized bronze. In the Court's baroque gardens a spoiled aristocracy promenades its extravaganza looking at the stars but ignoring the advent of the forthcoming French Revolution... We can still imagine those ladies wearing meters of shining pastel color embroidered silk, decorated flamboyant wigs and delicate crochet umbrellas in precious “dentelles”. Elegant girls were showing their status by exquisite bijoux de corset in bows and trembling flowers and girandoles earrings walking through the majestic garden of the castle & observing the shining of the stars throughout the beauty of its lavish gilded doors. The intense color of the tanzanite represents the sky where the asterism of the small light blue sapphires creates a lunar sensation and it’s connected with a night full of stars . Every details is delicate and feminine. The “fleur de lys” motives carved on the back of the pieces underline the connection with the French Crown and Aristocracy
