Description
Spiders Under Substances is a project created at the intersection with science. Epic recalls research that began back in the 1940s, when scientists gave spiders various substances and watched how the web that spiders wove changed. The surprise of the first experiments is that caffeine affected spiders more than benzedrine or marijuana. Epic creates wearable works of art in the form of webs "woven" under different substances, and spiders that created them.
The web in the project has generally become a metaphor for this intricacy of time and space and our idea of what this time and space is. And about our place in them, our age.
