Ring in yellow gold with diamond pave (0.93 cts total).
Stephen Webster and Tracey Emin’s first collaborative project — a collection of fine jewellery entitled 'I Promise To Love You'.
Set in 18k yellow gold the collection is inspired by Emin's iconic art, referencing her celebrated neon works and series of hand drawn animal sketches.
The collection features delicate pendants and bracelets, ear cuffs, drop earrings, rings and statement cuffs that bare the words "Love', 'More Passion', 'With You I Breathe and 'I Promise To Love You' as well as a heart and a kiss in Emin's signature handwriting. Meanwhile, figurative woodland creatures including a hare, owl, toad, badger, kitten and bird are realised as vellow gold charms to be worn on a fine chain necklace, or collected on a charm bracelet.
"As Tracey pointed out on my 56th birthday, we have known each other for almost 40 years. Our first encounter was at the Atlantis Disco at the entrance of Dreamland in Margate dancing to rare groove American funk being spun by a very young Pete Tong. Some two decades later we became really great friends, always conscious of our Kent roots. When we opened our flagship store in Beverley Hills, Tracey made a neon for us reading I Promise to Love You' in a heart. She said that she always felt that this work should be in a jewellery store where people buy engagement, wedding and eternity rings and all the other trinkets of romance. Soon after, I approached Tracey about realising her work through the medium that I know best, jewellery. Taking inspiration from her work, her spirit and our long relationship, we created a collection of pieces under the title, 'I Promise to Love You' that really represents both of our worlds”,— says Stephen Webster.
