In the 1920’s Alexander Grinberg became part of pictorial photography studio (along with famous photographers Eryomin, Khlebnikov and Svischev-Paola). Their main subject was the study of movement and plastic arts - they were greatly inspired by dancer Isadora Duncan and her free dance. The studio held four exhibitions titled “Art of Movement” between the years 1925 and 1928.Through photography the artists were trying to show the harmony between spiritual and physical, show the body of model through sculptural canons.
