Piggy Bank Pendant

The story of the “Family” series begins with Mr. Qian and Mrs. Qian meeting each other. Mr. Qian is a white porcelain piggy bank covered with coins, and Mrs. Qian is a rose-colored piggy bank adorned with ribbons. They met in 1960s Hong Kong, where they instantly fell in love and became inseparable. Today, the Qian family has grown to include 23 family members. The second generation of the Qian family has now spread across mainland China, Europe, and the United States. Each of the 23 piggy banks has its own unique appearance and pattern, representing different life experiences and personalities.

This series uses unique decoration methods to tell the story of a typical modern Chinese family, rich with the sentiment of the times.

In the West, pearls are often considered a luxury. However, as a representative of Chinese decorative arts, Yewn has integrated both sentiment and story into his designs. Each piece in the “Family” series symbolizes the Chinese people’s love for “home” and the importance of “family happiness.”
