Red Peacocks Earrings

Diamonds (0.77 CTS.), Fire opal (3.01/2.94 CTS.), Hot Enamel


The Red peacock earrings are done with the use of Plique-a-jour enameling technique. It's similar to cloisonné enameling, where enamel fills the spaces within a golden structure but unlike cloisonné, there's no solid bottom part.  Instead, only the borders are filled with enamel. Creating a delicate, translucent look. This technique is very complex, with Ilgiz being among the selected few artists who have achieved a mastery of it at a very high level.

What makes these earrings special is how they catch and reflect light beautifully when you wear them with a high hairdo at a fancy party or walking down the street in the sunlight.
