Alternative Sources

Eurus Gallery in collaboration with Barnes Turkey present the first contemporary art
jewellery exhibition in Bodrum — “Alternative Sources.

Eurus Gallery in collaboration with Barnes Turkey present the first contemporary art jewellery exhibition in Bodrum — “Alternative Sources. Art Jewellery created with the use of unusual and innovative materials”.

This unique curatorial project allows you to get aquainted with the works of the best independent jewellery artists of the world, to see, try on and even buy those artpieces that can usually be found in museums and at such auctions as Sotheby's and Phillips.

The exhibition tells the story of unique and innovative materials used by artists along with traditional gold or diamonds. Ilgiz Fazulzyanov shows fantastic mastery of work with enamel. It was he who previously restored the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, taught enamel art at the Van Cleef & Arpels School and was the first living jewellery artist after Fabergé to be honoured with a solo exhibition at the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

Alexander Laut's artworks combine a colourful American style with Japanese attention to detail. Laut's works are successfully sold at Sotheby's, Bonham's and Phillips. He started his jewellery path by working on special orders with the maison of Harry Winston, so Alexander knows it all about the rarest gemstones.

Richard Wu, who recently won the People's Choice award at Couture Las Vegas, has taken titanium craftsmanship to a new level. Works with very complicated techniques of titanium surface treatment and anodising are signature to Epic Jewellery. It is no coincidence that the latter has become the jewellery partner of several leading art museums and institutions around the world.

Dickson Yewn from Hong Kong, a favourite jeweller of Chinese nobility and Michelle Obama, makes bold experiments with carbon, wood, ornamental stones and high-tech ceramics.

At the “Alternative sources” exhibition in Bodrum you have a unique chance to see the present and the future of the jewellery art.
