The idea comes up from one of the one of the first jewellery meanings — memorizing. The artist studied the old classic pieces such as locket and signet ring and decided to upgrade them to meet in the current era. With Richard Wu’s techniques, it is also his interest showing how detailed his enameling can be. He does pets pictures, portraits of humans, as well as zodiac signs and chinese zodiacs too. With this collection Richard wanted to create something more affordable, and more interact with his clients, and even to invite his clients to collaborate.
Richard Wu founded the “Liu Guangjia” Oriental jewelry brand in 2005. He established a jade carving studio in Suzhou in 2012, learning the intricacies of the craft along the way.
