EURUS Gallery presents a special project by AZ Artistic Duo (also known as Epic Jewellery) at Art Central Hong Kong 2026. The exhibition brings together two new works united by the theme of authentic values and the transformation of meaning through materials, craftsmanship and cultural memory.

The first work continues The Circle of Life, a long-term collaboration between AZ Artistic Duo and New York–based artist Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov. The series explores metamorphosis in nature and the hidden processes of transformation that take place beyond visible perception. The new work presented at Art Central, Cicada, captures the fragile biological moment when the insect emerges from its shell and unfolds its wings. The piece reflects the idea of transition between past, present and future through the dialogue of materials and techniques: ultra-modern titanium structures with complex pavé settings are combined with the rare and technically demanding plique-à-jour enamel, creating a bridge between contemporary technological experimentation and one of the most delicate historical jewellery techniques.

The second project, Africa, reflects on the instinctive human desire for adornment and the resilience of creativity even in conditions where precious materials are unavailable. In many African communities everyday objects are transformed into personal jewellery: bottle caps, fragments of watches used as hair ornaments, or small found objects. One example documented by AZ Artistic Duo is the use of aviation cargo tags, which some tribes adapt as earrings. In this work the artists reinterpret this object by recreating the form of the double earring in gold and diamonds, while preserving the barcode motif in hot enamel as a visual memory of the original object. Through this transformation, an ordinary utilitarian item is reframed as a symbol of value, identity and cultural narrative.

The project demonstrates the unique language of AZ Artistic Duo / Epic Jewellery, where contemporary art, experimental jewellery techniques and cultural references merge into collectible art objects that explore symbolism, transformation and the meaning of value in the modern world.

As always, the curatorial project of Eurus Gallery will be presented at the partner booth of the Hong Kong gallery Literati Artspace, together with works by artist Dickson Yewn.
