This open necklace is assembled from two elements designed in a special way. Each piece is slightly twisted along its axis to beautifully frame the neck. Аmethyst and citrine in the shape of a regular hexagons, allusions to the glass brick "falconier" number 7, are in the spotlight.
The stones are mined in Ametista do Sul, not the largest, but the most important mine in Brazil. The most expensive and beautifully colored amethysts and citrines are mined here. Though, only several kilos of top quality ones a year, so the jewellery pieces with these stones are truly unique.
The collection dedicated to Gustave Falconnier is a logical continuation of the architectural theme for Epic Jewellery. Minimalistic design brought us a lot of challenges in creation. And first of all it is a special cut which reminds "falconnier" glass bricks but does not copy them – unlike glass a gemstone needs thin ideal facets to reflect light in the best way.
The Falconnier project is a continuation of our fruitful collaboration with the Schusev State Museum of Architecture. Design of the pieces is done by Epic's creative director Anna Minakova together with a famous contemporary artist Irina Petrakova.
Collection sold exclusively in Epic Jewellery boutiques and Schusev Museum of Architecture
