On November 8 the inception exhibition titled "We Are Art. Who is John Goldsmith" opens located in the legendary House on Sathorn in Bangkok, it brings together works by outstanding jewellery artists from around the world: Dickson Yewn (Hong Kong), Stephen Webster (UK), Ilgiz Fazulzyanov (Russia), Alexander Laut (USA), Epic Jewellery (Thailand), Konstantin Chaykin (Russia), Richard Wu (China). The exhibition also includes works by famous artists who work in other genres - Olga Tobreluts (Hungary), Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov (USA), Jean-Christophe Couet (USA), Irina Petrakova (Russia), Varya Alay (France), Vital (Ukraine).

These artists have chosen jewellery as a new medium of work for themselves: Eurus exhibition tells the story of their creative quests and of their results. As such the exhibition allows you see projects in the process of creation with hints of premiers and events to come in 2024.

One of these projects will also be the establishment of the Eurus Emerging Talents Award supported by the Italian brand Rubeus Milano. The competition for young jewellery artists will end with an exhibition of the finalists works and the awarding of the main prize - a cash sum and mentorship to help further implement the winner's project. The winner will be chosen by the gallery’s resident artists.

Eurus Gallery is not just a gallery with an active exhibition program, it is a meeting place for collectors and artists, art fans and young talents. The gallery will hold master classes, public talks and even a children's club.

House on Sathorn has become the launch venue for the creative project, but not its only home. Eurus is a journey through cities and countries. Already in December, a historic mansion in Istanbul is eager to host the next Eurus Gallery exhibition event.

How did the idea for the gallery come about? "We are all friends," says Eurus Gallery co-founder Zakhar Borisenko. - and each of our artists knows how hard it is to create and promote art jewellery, opposing both the gigantic marketing budgets of big brands and the commonly held notion that jewellery is about precious stones and metals. It is much more than that. It is a unique genre, contemporary art. The only art form that can be worn."

"Once upon a time, Gene Moore, the legendary window dresser of the Tiffany & Co. boutique on Fifth Avenue changed the idea of how to display jewellery," Anna Minakova, co-founder of the gallery, continues his thought. - He did incredible installations in the windows together with Warhol, Rauschenberg and other great contemporaries. We continue this tradition. At Eurus, art is everywhere. For example, the 3D sculptures for our first exhibition were created by Varya Alay, a reflection of her creative perception of contemporary art jewellery."

Eurus is a continuation of the tradition of working with the jewellery medium by famous artists who are renown in different genres. Such recognized maestros as Calder, Picasso, Niki de Saint Phalle expressed their art through jewellery. Eurus aims to highlight today’s main contemporary jewellery artists, to attract new creative talent to art jewellery and to become a platform for collaboration between jewellery artists.
