THE BIG HUNT

For the first time at EURUS Gallery, a fashion unfolding will take place — an art-driven reinterpretation of a fashion presentation, where models themselves become performers within the exhibition.

Following last year’s September Issue — where EURUS Gallery and its curators examined the intersections of fashion and art through shared techniques, narratives, and ideas — The Big Hunt takes the dialogue further. This time, the exhibition centres on Hunter, the latest collection by Thai designer Wisharawish Akarasantisook, first unveiled at Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo.

In Bangkok, Hunter expands into an immersive landscape: garments are presented alongside jewellery specially created for Tokyo and for this exhibition, developed in collaboration with gallery’s new resident artist Alice in Wonderlab. At the core of the show stands a unique choker, realised across countries. Crafted with the rare mokume-gane technique by Jaume Labro in Tokyo, further shaped in Bangkok by master silversmiths renowned for their extraordinary craftsmanship, and developed in close collaboration with Epic Jewellery, which oversaw the technical design, the piece incorporates baroque pearls, silver, and diamonds. A dedicated public talk will explore its creation.

For the first time at EURUS Gallery, a fashion unfolding will take place — an art-driven reinterpretation of a fashion presentation, where models themselves become performers within the exhibition. The exhibition will also feature paintings by Irina Petrakova, the artist behind the sketches that inspired the central choker, and an entrance installation by Olga Tobreluts, which leads visitors through a vision of Adam and Eve — a passage into a lost paradise. New timepiece by Konstantin Chaykin meditate on time itself, while the “Hunter world” is refracted through the perspectives of other EURUS Gallery artists: Dikson Eewn’s poetic vision of forests and nature, Richard Wu’s ferocious lion, Alexander Laut’s evocation of forbidden pleasures, Alessio Boschi’s carnivalesque jewelry, the organic minimalism of VA, and Ilgiz F. enamels, shimmering with landscapes of colour and light.
